Captain Dave’s Dock Side…
Never judge a book by its cover. Or should I say, never judge a restaurant by its curb appeal, especially if that restaurant looks like it belongs on a cul-de-sac in Greenwich, CT. From the outside, Capt. Dave’s Dock Side is a beautiful colonial landscaped with lush greeneries. When I walked through the doors I was stunned.

The space is truly beautiful. An open, airy dining room overlooking the beautiful inlet was surrounded by a wall of windows. The dining room is quite large with the second floor looking down upon the atrium of the main dining room. There’s also outdoor dining, but I opted to eat indoors. We were seated by a large window overlooking the inland water, boats, and a beautiful walkway that connects several restaurants and waterside bars. The food was quite good, with a wide selection of fresh fish and steaks. The wine list was impressive and reasonably priced “good” glasses were served. The icing on the cake is really the gorgeous atmosphere. A little off the beaten path but quite worth the visit!
